By studying the actual work process and analyzing the goals of the specialist surveillance personnel, Electronic Ink designed a data visualization–rich system to replace spreadsheet information with visually compelling data displays. These presentations consolidated volumes of data and presented it in ways that allowed for pattern recognition, analysis, trend–spotting and fraud detection.

Electronic Ink’s interactive design process enabled analysts to spend 80 percent of their time examining data, improving security, and assuring scalability.
