Definition

In the Definition phase, all of our teams work with clients to identify the true business challenge and map an approach.

Representatives from every Electronic Ink division are in attendance at the initial stakeholder meeting — Strategy, Research, Design, Implementation and Process and Planning — because each plays a role in:

• Defining roles and responsibilities
• Determining project milestones
• Identifying stakeholders, including user communities
• Prioritizing key tasks
• Establishing metrics for success

Unlike our competitors, Electronic Ink includes its technologists from the project kickoff. Up front, they consider the project goals and conduct a technology assessment, so the entire team can consider the feasibility of the platforms under consideration. This allows Electronic Ink to overcome constraints early on, rather than being surprised by them late in the process, when it’s time to build.

Our interdisciplinary teams deliver a strategic plan to confirm vision and keep team members on track throughout the engagement. And our Planning and Process team develops a detailed project plan so the project has a road map.
