CEO of Electronic Ink takes the spotlight for his breakthrough contributions in bringing a user–centered approach to the design of technology
DATELINE: PHILADELPHIA – Harold Hambrose, Chief Executive Officer of 15–year–old Electronic Ink, has been awarded the 2005 Alumni Merit Award by Carnegie Mellon’s Alumni Association for his breakthrough contributions to the design and technology industries. If you are to be known by the company you keep, Hambrose becomes an elite member of a world–renowned group when he receives this honor on October 28, 2005 at Carnegie’s Homecoming Weekend. Former recipients include: Arthur J. Pulos, author of The American Design Ethic and American Design Dream and pioneer in the field of industrial design; Steven Bocho, Emmy Award winning writer and producer; Holly Hunter, Academy Award winner, and Phillip M. Pearlstein, American Painter.
Mr. Hambrose was selected among Carnegie Mellon Alumni for meeting the awards criterion of demonstrating exceptional accomplishments in his chosen field, to which he has become a distinguished leader, “thereby bringing honor to the nominee” at a formal ceremony.
