Rohm & Haas rolls out their redesigned SAP Business Warehouse with Rave Revues

Electronic Ink maximized SAP’s Business Warehouse with a simple new interface that is increasing productivity throughout the Rohm and Haas world.

DATELINE: PHILADELPHIA – SAP’s business warehouse (BW), a well–muscled business intelligence tool, provides powerful access to critical enterprise data. Rohm & Haas’s employees can run reports in BW and perform complex analytical inquiries on the data it delivers. However, Rohm & Haas found these mission critical tasks were not easily performed when working inside SAP’s standard implementation – a situation not unique to only the BW but throughout SAP’s Enterprise Portal. Consequently, user adoption at Rohm & Haas was low. They worked to create a short term fix and then called in Electronic Ink, experts at analyzing business processes and redesigning systems to match users’ needs.

Usability Testing made the difference.

After analysis with users, Electronic Ink found key ways to refine SAP’s out–of–the–box implementation of BW for the specific demands of Rohm & Haas. They created a centralized repository for Report Help definitions and metadata to speed Rohm & Haas users to the tools they needed quickly. And they designed a way to bookmark and store a user’s favorite reports. Electronic Ink’s interface addressed the particular needs of the Rohm & Haas organization while revealing more of SAP’s built in power.
