Harold Hambrose, Founder, CEO
Harold Hambrose is a designer. More than 25 years ago he began a career focused on bringing design’s concern for people to the creation of computing technology that would transform the way businesses operate. Harold founded Electronic Ink in 1990 to apply design to business processes and systems and has worked with Fortune 500 companies on hundreds of projects.
Harold is the author of Wrench in the System. He is the recipient of Carnegie Mellon’s prestigious Alumni Achievement Award for his significant contributions to the design and technology industries. Harold contributed to the design of Citibank’s ATM’s and one of the first PC operating systems - IBM’s OS/2. He designed the user interface of the first computerized patient record for the PC platform. The work of his team at Electronic Ink - the design of an emergency dispatch system - resides in New York’s Museum of Modern Art.

In his role as chairman of Electronic Ink, Joe provides leadership for operations, from business development to process improvements. Throughout his distinguished career, he has specialized in helping organizations, and the people who comprise them, realize their full potential and achieve genuine excellence.
Johanna Hambrose, President
As president of Electronic Ink, Johanna works with both our delivery team members and our clients to build stronger and more lasting relationships, and gain insight into how Electronic Ink can become a more valuable client partner. Through extensive community outreach, she has created professional connections that have resulted in many of Electronic Ink’s largest and longest client relationships. Prior to joining Electronic Ink in 1995, Johanna was a medical malpractice and general corporate litigation lawyer. She has been recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development as one of Pennsylvania’s “Best 50 Women in Business.”
Blair Lyon, EVP Strategy & Marketing
As executive vice president of strategy and marketing, Blair leads a team that strengthens Electronic Ink’s reputation and relationships with clients, partners, and business and community leaders. Prior to joining Electronic Ink, Blair was the chief marketing officer at LeadiD, offering a revolutionary technology solution that dramatically improves the transparency and efficacy of the lead buying and selling industry. As founder and CEO of TMX, Blair led TMX to the IAC’s (Interactive Advertising Competition) Agency of the Year Award four years in a row, Forbes Best of the Web and Ben Franklin’s Top Management Team. He also helped secure a breakthrough U.S. patent for rich media delivery and tracking technology.
Caryn Polin, EVP of Delivery Operations
As executive vice president of delivery operations, Caryn leads our team of design, research, content strategy and client program management consultants as they solve enterprise-wide challenges for our clients. She mentors each team member to ignite ongoing consulting skills development, and inspires, motivates and challenges team members to exceed client expectations in a way that is consistent with our brand, value system and strategic direction. She contributes to the development and achievement of the company’s strategic vision by instilling relationship management techniques that establish trust and partnership with clients. Prior to joining Electronic Ink, Caryn spent 16 years in client-facing consulting roles with Booz Allen Hamilton, leading engagements with various non-profits, Federal government agencies, and Fortune 500 companies. Caryn earned a degree in economics from Bucknell University and serves on the advisory board for the Temple Fox School Management Consulting program.
James Moustafellos, Design Practice Lead
As practice lead of design, James sets the vision and roadmap for the application of design within the business enterprise. He brings to this role more than 20 years of experience designing comprehensive business solutions, process optimization plans and integrated digital technologies. Prior to joining Electronic Ink, James was an assistant professor of management information systems at the Fox School of Business, Temple University, and co-founder and associate director of the Center for Design+Innovation. He was also co-principal of Intellectual Property LLC, an interdisciplinary research and design studio, and a founding partner of EnA Fine Jewelry, a luxury jewelry retailer and manufacturer. James holds a Master of Architecture degree from Princeton University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University.
Jeanne Adamson, Content Strategy Practice Lead
As practice lead of content strategy, Jeanne advises clients in overall strategy to ensure their digital content supports business objectives as well as user needs. Her role also includes directing content teams in the creation, maintenance and migration of effective web and application content. She has extensive experience in web writing best practices, editorial and content production, and user-centered design principles.
With a degree in English and a certificate in Technical Writing from Penn State's Main Campus, Jeanne brings over 20 years of experience to her role at Electronic Ink.
Max Snyder, Design Research Practice Lead
As practice lead of research, Max is responsible for shaping and advancing the work of Electronic Ink’s design researchers. In addition to ensuring that his team is at the cutting edge of design research technology and methodology, Max gives direction and support to make sure they are providing the client with valuable design research. He not only “gets stuff done,” but is the ultimate problem solver. His natural tendency to help others and to notice the finer details allows him to organize teams if they are ever at a loss, come up with new ideas and work on a problem in a way that others may not.
Dennis McGuire, Client Program Management Practice Lead
As the practice lead for client program management, Dennis is responsible for leading the entire program management team and ensuring that all project goals are met. Dennis contributes to the strategic decisions on how Electronic Ink approaches and executes all of our engagements.
Keeping abreast of market trends and new technologies enables Dennis to be the best possible practice lead and client advocate. For Dennis, the client’s goals are his team’s goals, and meeting them are his highest priority. He knows that meeting and exceeding expectations is rooted in strong relationships based on trust and communication.
Dennis has over 15 years experience managing projects for many Fortune 500 companies, including Goldman Sachs, Lockheed Martin, JP Morgan Chase, Morgan Stanley, and Comcast.
