As Chairman, Joe provides leadership for Electronic Ink's complete operations, from business development to process improvements. Throughout his distinguished career, Joe has specialized in helping organizations and the people who comprise them realize their full potential and achieve genuine excellence.

Before joining the leadership team of Electronic Ink, Joe was the Chairman-CEO of Packard Press, Inc., the region's leading financial, legal, and commercial printing company. In the fast-paced printing industry that requires flexibility and confidentiality from its vendors, Joe steered a team that regularly performed overnight printing miracles. With Joe at the helm, Packard Press, Inc. transformed itself from a reliable vendor to a most trusted partner of elite clients.

For the previous two decades, Joe practiced corporate law, representing clients in banking, media and professional sports - including the Philadelphia Eagles. In addition to his work as a leading executive and lawyer, Joe maintained a strong interest in media and the arts. He owned and operated radio stations in Albany, New York and Philadelphia. In print, he was the publisher of The Legal Intelligencer and the Pennsylvania Law Journal from 1987 to 1990. His business acumen helped to bolster ratings and readership in all his media endeavors. Joe also partnered in a film production company which produced several well-known films of the 1970s, including The Buddy Holly Story and Under the Rainbow.

Throughout his career, Joe has made philanthropy in and around his hometown of Philadelphia a priority. Under former Mayor Wilson Goode, he chaired the Mayor's Anti-Graffiti Network; he was President of the Temple University Law Alumni Association; a member of the Board of Directors of the Temple University Alumni Association, and a member of the Board of Directors of The Bridge Therapeutic Center at Fox Chase. Joe currently serves on the boards of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, the Friends of Rittenhouse Square, the Marian Anderson Award, and the Central Philadelphia Development Corporation.

Joe is a graduate of Temple University, where he earned his bachelor's of science in Business Administration. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Temple Law and, in 1983, he received a Certificate of Honor from the Temple University General Alumni Association. He is listed in the 1991 Platinum edition of Who's Who Among Business Leaders.

Joe is the proud father of two daughters and one stepdaughter. He and his wife, Sharon Pinkenson, Executive Director of the Greater Philadelphia Film Office, live in Center City, Philadelphia.
