As Chief Operations Officer, David Rode is responsible for operational management and strategic direction of Electronic Ink’s delivery teams, which includes the foremost experts in strategy, research, design, implementation, process and planning.

David brings more than 18 years of experience to Electronic Ink. Before joining the company, he was the President of Lectra, a leading software consultancy, where he instituted new management practices and rebuilt the management team. He was also the President and CEO of Intentia, which is now Lawson Software. At Safeguard Scientifics, he was the Principle of Software Acquisitions Practice.

David has demonstrated success working with international businesses. As President of International Operations of Information Builders, he managed the privately-held software company’s European subsidiaries. He also helped to further expand the company to Asia, Africa, South America, and Europe. During his eleven years at Milliken & Company, a private manufacturing company, he worked in their offices in Japan and Mexico.

He received his Master of Business Administration in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1999. He graduated from Denison University with his Bachelor of Arts in economics in 1986.
